Questions about robotic process automation (rpa).

Is RPA the same as AI?

No. RPA follows fixed rules to operate an interface the way a person would — it doesn't reason or handle ambiguity. It's the right tool for stable, repetitive, high-volume tasks; AI agents are better suited to work that requires judgment.

What happens if the interface the bot uses changes?

Interface changes can break rule-based bots, which is why we build in monitoring that flags a failure immediately rather than letting it fail silently for days.

What happens if one of the tools in the workflow goes down?

Every automation we build has defined failure behavior — it retries, alerts a human, or fails safely. It doesn't fail silently, which is the actual risk with most DIY automations.

Will this replace the tools we already pay for?

Usually not. Most automation work connects the tools you already have rather than replacing them — we only recommend swapping a tool out when the alternative is clearly better and worth the migration.
